Can Smartphone's replace The Ordinary Cameras?
The coming of smartphones revolutionized many markets. In a span of few months it reduced the sale of landlines and cordless phones. It even reduced the sale of watches and alarm clocks and GPS navigation systems. The one thing that early smartphones lacked was a decent camera. It goes without saying that some smartphones had cameras worth commending but most smartphone cameras could never compare with a simple point and shoot digital camera.
Understanding that this could be a huge help in bringing in more sales, smartphone companies have spent a huge amount of time and money in order to incorporate a better camera into a smartphone. The latest in the list of smartphones have tried to achieve this and the results are good if not extraordinary.
Most people of the world click pictures so that they can show it to their friends and family or save the moments and retrieve them later whenever they want. Before the coming of smartphones, all these purposes were fulfilled by digital cameras and if you are an enthusiast, a slr camera. But, they had their negatives.
Comparison between a Phone Camera and a Normal Camera:
The first being: the minor complexity of handling a camera. Despite efforts, a person can be confused while using a camera. While in a smartphone, all one has to do is touch an icon to take a picture, the rest of the job like setting lightning, focus and color adjustments are all automatic.Secondly, a smartphone isn't easily forgotten. Since it is a device most commonly used all over the world, it would be less likely to be forgotten or lost. A camera on the other hand has to be remembered. For example, if you are going to an exotic locale for a vacation, you won't be leaving your mobile phone behind but you may forget your camera.Third is the need of people to instantly share. This is the age of social networking sites. People want to share what they are doing on the go. Using any camera this isn't possible. Since you need to sync the photos in a camera with a computer before sharing them online, smartphones are a better option. Once a photograph is clicked, a smartphone gives you the option of instantly sharing it on websites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This means that a photograph can be shared with the world once clicked in virtually no time. A camera can't beat that.Fourth is the plethora of picture editing applications available across multiple smartphone platforms! This means a blurred, off-color image which would take a lot of time editing if taken through a camera would be edited within minutes if taken through a smartphone.
Also, in the price of a mid-range camera one can buy a decent smartphone. So, smartphones win this battle. Obviously this isn't true for professionals who use a DSLR camera. The fact is that phones like the range of Panasonic mobile phones provide phones with cameras as good as a normal digital camera. So if you are looking for a smartphone with a decent camera, Panasonic is a good option.
